Under the right hand window that now shows Microsoft Edge, I selected “Set this program as default” It did it’s thing. I closed all of these windows and restarted Outlook and now email links work again. Hyperlinks are not working in Outlook. I think I have found more exact steps to fix the problem as detailed in my answer on StackOverflow. When I corrected the entry the problem went away.
